It has been a while since I saw two space craft flying this close together (last time was I think a Sojuz making a rendezvous with Mir back in the late 80s).

Tonight space shuttle Discovery (mission STS-119) will dock with the International Space Station at 22:13 CET. Below you can see a picture I took 30 minutes ago (20:11 CET) from my backyard. The trail from both space craft (and one air plane) is visible.

Here a 100% crop, the yellow arrow points to ISS, the white one to Discovery. The separation between the to space craft was about 11 kilometres.  

Since it's always hard to aim your camera for these events, I didn't catch the whole trial. Though this way it's still visible how close they where flying together.

Vandaag leek het lekker weer te worden,dus mooi em even naar buiten te gaan."Laten we naar een schaapskooi gaan", was het idee. Prima. Op naar Loenen, daar was er eentje aldus Google. Aangekomen in Loenen bleek het lammetjesdag te zijn, we waren dus niet de enige die naar een schaapskooi gingen. 

Gelukkig waren we wel op tijd, dus konden we de auto in ieder geval nog kwijt. Daarna Roos in de rugdrager gezet en gaan kijken. Ze vond het best leuk…

Op naar de schapen!

Van dichtbij zijn ze ook leuk.

En uiteindelijk moe, nog even uitzoeken hoe we nu het beste de Sleepyhead kunnen gebruiken.
